Why do I love this album? Foremost >> choosing a FAV track is impossible. Yes > I am familiar with each track having immersed my brain repeatedly for several weeks already. "Who could ask for more?" asks *Dead Man's Party*. Seriously I will respond with much more detail about each track independently... soon. What a tribute for Charles Levi! Everyone did an excellent job with their tracks. It is very entertaining to the ear, a compilation that achieves what compilations should do: Great listening ability & give a variety in it's sound... this comp does that in spades! EXCELLENT!
Favorite track: Strangelove.

Celebrating Charles Levi: Independent Electronic Music Acts Unveil "Retronomicon" Album
Powerhouse bass player Charles Levi, known for his iconic contributions to industrial music, is in need of help. To that end, a number of independent electronic music acts from all throughout North America have unveiled a collaborative album project, "Retronomicon," featuring an all-star lineup.
As a way of saying thank you to Charles Levi for his influential role in the industrial music scene, multiple bands have pooled their resources to release "Retronomicon," a tribute album celebrating the music that has inspired Charles and his contemporaries. The album, released on February 1st, promises to be a journey through the synth-driven sounds of the 1980s, a precursor to the industrial wave of the 1990s.
Levi's impressive career includes collaborations with industrial heavyweights such as "My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult" and "Pigface." His bass prowess can be heard on soundtracks for iconic movies like "Cool World" and "The Crow," solidifying his status as a linchpin in the industrial music scene.
"Retronomicon" emerged as a creative endeavor to not only pay homage to the music that shaped Levi's career but also to support the artist in a time of need. All proceeds from the album will go directly to Charles Levi, who is currently facing health challenges, including daily kidney dialysis, an amputated leg, and neuropathy affecting his fingers.
The album features a diverse lineup of musicians who have each put their unique spin on classic tracks from the synth-heavy new wave era. The result is a collection of reimagined songs that showcase the adaptability and creativity of these talented artists.

Very FLA-centric though Cevin’s contributions do shine brightly as well. A worthy successor to the much more minimal Tenebrae Vision, and one of the best albums in the genre so far this year. Jean-Paul DuQuette
